What Do I Do For Fun?
While I have always had dogs, I recently made my first entry into the dog show world with my German Shorthaired Pointer. He comes from the breeder of a line of top champion GSPs and I have been showing him with the hopes of completing his championship in the breed. I have also been training him for rally and obedience competition where he has already earned his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Rally Novice (RN) titles.
While I'm not much of a baker, I enjoy cooking very much. I enjoy browsing cookbooks, cooking magazines and TV shows to find interesting, healthy, and hopefully delicious recipes to try. While I grew up in an Italian and EasterNorthern European household and cook dishes native to those areas, I will try any cuisine.
I love to read a wide variety of books. Since I do a lot of serious reading for my job, when I read for fun I choose "fluffy" reading. I go through stages where I read many books in a particular genre, get tired and then move on. I have recently been hooked on mysteries, science fiction and supernatural fiction (yes, vampires, werewolves and all the other things that go bump in the night.)
Vacations for my husband and I usually involve pulling our Airstream trailer behind our pick-up truck. Sometimes it may be for a quiet camping trip and other times the trailer serves as a hotel on wheels while we go site-seeing. While it may not be as glamorous as a fancy resort, I always have everything I need and if I want to get up at 3 in the morning and have some hot chocolate, I can. What can be better than that?
